A trip to Melbourne is an exciting proposition.  It’s one of the great cultural and financial centers in Australia, and there are a million things to do.  It’s got great urban energy, with all sorts of artistic offerings to keep the aesthetic side of life well-fed, a vibrant cosmopolitan energy, and easy access to some absolutely stunning natural places.  Melbourne is a lovely place, constantly shifting and evolving, and constantly recreating its own unique identity.  It’s a fantastic place to find a great restaurant, and even better for a great hotel.  Melbourne, Australia is a real treasure, and we’ve selected some of the best accommodations to give you a marvelous time in the lap of luxury.

Our hotels are selected for their excellent records of offering a spectacular sense of hospitality to the guests, with a charm that is familiar and exotic at the same time.  Melbourne is a curious mix of old traditions and a great love for innovation, and the sophisticated balance here is remarkable.  After a short rest and a lovely meal, it’s time to check out the city life.  There are plenty of attractions to keep everyone busy, and very likely also quite happy, and if your tastes run toward hip and urban culture, you’ll certainly find plenty here.  One place to begin, or end, a perfect evening would be the Horse Bazaar.

This Melbourne pub is a fantastic artspace, run by some extremely savvy curators, who have a very good eye and ear for local art works, and a limitless number of fabulous connections, too, it seems.  They don’t just offer drinks, but also serve up visual art, video art, new media and digital art, installation art, sound art and live art.  You might guess that they also have a host of forms that run somewhere in between these, too.  Horse Bazaar is also a great place to hear some experimental djing, and it’s one of the venues for the Digital Fringe, the virtual arm of the local Fringe Festival that presents work by artists and hackers from all over the world.  It’s a very cool place to go, and also very friendly.
