Warm Water, Buoyancy, and the Health Benefits of Hot Tubs

Written By: joe - Sep• 15•09

A nice, long hot shower is fantastic.  A soak in a hot tub, such as the ones found at choosehottubsdirect.com is even better.  For while the health benefits of warm water, such as the nice, long hot shower are good, the buoyancy and the massage of the bubbles of a hot tub spa, are even better.  And this is not just a luxury, the spa itself or the long soak.  To invest in a hot tub is to invest in one’s overall health.  The relief of day to day ailments is ensured, as well as some of the symptoms that to along with arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and depression.

It has to do with the heat of the water, and as stated–the buoyancy.  The heat of water will serve to dilate blood vessels and relax the muscles, thus, lowering blood pressure and relieving stress, as well as headaches and muscle soreness.  When the circulatory system is dilated, oxygen absorption increases, which removes toxins and rejuvenates the entire body.  This causes a tranquil feeling and will allow those with trouble sleeping at night, a peaceful transition into slumber.  Fatigue and stress is quite literally, washed away.

The buoyancy of the bubbling water has the effect of taking the weight off, figuratively and literally.  Previously mentioned was the removal of stress. This takes the weight off of the mind, and of the soul.  But the physical removal of that weight is what helps the body itself.  The mechanical workings of the body are given a bit of a break.  The vertebrae of the spine relax, separate a bit, and allow the vessels running up and down, the ability to … run up and down efficiently.

Injuries are healed as the oxygen flows, and the weight is removed.  Flexibility is restored, and healing and the regaining of strength is safe from the possibility of re-injury.  Famous athletes utilize the benefits of hydrotherapy, as well as the everyday walker, biker or runner.  To install one’s own hot tub, is becoming easier as each day passes.  Not only are spas becoming more affordable, they are becoming more commonplace, a regular appliance in the day of the life of one living in the health conscious world of today.
