My Brothers Trip to Dubai

Just getting back from Dubai my brother just cannot stop talking about the buildings, the luxury, how clean the cities are and on and on and on. Apparently he was impressed with the country and the architecture. He also made reference to how much he enjoyed staying in Dubai UAE luxury hotels. He said the rooms were beautiful, marble in the bathrooms, the beds and bedding and furniture all top of the line. He knows design and is picky, he was very pleased from what I can gather. Staying in the hotel for a week and he did not have one complaint, that is not like him.
The view from his room was really nice, actually stunning. Not sure which floor he was on but it sure was up a few floors and had a beautiful view out over the ocean. I am not sure I would have wanted to leave the view and probably would have stayed in the room.
While there he was able to see the Palm Island development being constructed there. An amazing feet of engineering with all the earth being moved in the water. One thing has to be said for Dubai is the determination and vision of the people. Sure there is a lot of money due to the oil and gas there. But without vision the skyline and interesting structures would not exist here. The vision of building a place like Palm Island is not only an exercises in creativity but the determination and vision to get it done. The country is determined to build its self as a sustainable country even if the oil were to give out. Given the innovation and vision already displayed with in the growth in Dubai one cannot help but think they will be successful in their diversification.
